THE Vono ErgoBed is the first back care mattress with built-in ergonomic features. The ErgoBed project was a collaborative research and development done with AEH, a Centre for Ergonomics in Switzerland.

The research was headed by Hansjoerg Huwiler and took six months to successfully map out seven zones that support the human body. Ergonomics in AEH contributed to the design and evaluation of the Vono ErgoBed series – the ErgoBed 800, ErgoBed 800 Plus and ErgoBed 1200. Ergonomics is the study of designing equipment and devices that fit the human body. It takes into account body movements and the cognitive abilities.

Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain and injuries. The research and development project produced ErgoBed mattress models that are firm and durable. ErgoBed mattresses support the natural shapes and postures of users’ spines in a proper way. It allows unrestrained movement and the changing of sleeping position, which help users get good quality sleep.

Seven Zones

The Vono ErgoBed has been carefully designed with seven perfect zones that map out the head and neck, shoulder and upper back, waist, pelvic, knee, legs, foot and ankles. The bed also combines premium quality latex foam layer, the unique Intalok spring system and high-quality stretchable knitted fabric to give better back care.

“The Vono ErgoBed divan has the same Intalok Spring System that is used in the Vono ErgoBed 800 mattress. Once an Intalok Sprilg mattress is put onto an Intalok Spring divan, you double the spring counts thus, the body weight will be dispersed from top to bottom. It is just like a large absorber for your mattress.
