Business diplomas and credit transfers
DISTED has 2 business-related diploma courses for SPM students: Diploma in Business IT or Diploma in Business Studies.
The former allows students to gain a strong foundation in the applications of IT in business enterprise while the latter imparts knowledge and skills that are crucial to the effective and efficient management and operation of a business enterprise.
It provides a broad-based business education that encompasses accounting, business computing, business law, statistics, e-commerce, Marketing, economics, personnel management, international business, research methodology and business English.
Business degrees
At DISTED, students can choose four highly regarded and well-recognised UK’s Staffordshire University business degrees: BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance, BA (Hons) Business Management, BA (Hons) International Business Management and BA (Hons) Marketing Management.
These follow an identical programme of study as that in the college’s UK partners. Its accounting and finance degrees are accredited by the ACCA (UK) and the CPA Australia, thereby allowing graduates to become internationally recognized professional accountants.
Apart from professional accountancy, Staffordshire University business graduates can look forward to a wide spectrum of career opportunities including financial services, banking, taxation, marketing, retailing, global marketing, international logistics, export and import trading, general management, human resource management, corporate training and consulting advertising, public relations and many others.
Accountancy
In accounting, DISTED also offers the world renowned UK Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and the ACCA programmes, which gives students the opportunity to gain concurrently, a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK.
The CAT-ACCA route is the best, cost and timesaving choice for students who have firmly decided to be accountants, with credentials that are valued world-wide as the ACCA is recognized in 170 countries and is the world’s fastest-growing professional accountancy body.

Scholarships and rewards
Merit Scholarships are available to SPM/O-level achievers with 4As and above to pursue the Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Business IT and CAT.
Students with good academic and extracurricular achievements and deserving socio-economic background may apply for the Special Scholarship, while Degree Scholarships and Sports Excellence Scholarships are also available to deserving students.
Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Business IT Student will be given loyalty rebate of RM2,000 and those with outstanding achievements will receive an additional RM3,000 academic performance reward when they subsequently continue with the 3+0 Staffordshire University business degree programmes at DISTED
