PENANG’s newest English Language Centre by Enchance Education is committed to providing interactive, student-centred language lessons to children of all ages as well as adults.
All its teachers are English native speakers from counties such as UK, Ireland, Australia and Canada with formal teaching qualifications to ensure students get the most dynamic, up-to-date techniques focusing on the key skills of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
Situated in Straits Quay at Tanjung Tokong, the centre provides a fun and highly creative learning environment with well-resourced and state-of-the-art facilities. All courses are designed to increase students’ confidence in using English for spoken and written communication.
Available are General English and Conversation programmes, Business English, study skills and examination preparations for SPM, STPM, IELTS, IGCSE and A-Level students.
Centre principal Dr Tom Craog-Cameron has extensive leadership and management experience in the fields of international relations, international education and English language teaching.
He was formerly director of the British Council in Malaysia and Pakistan as well as Counsellor for Education and Culture at the British Embassy in China, and Education Attache at the British Embassy in Washington DC, USA.
His deputy Ross Beatte is also a highly experienced secondary teacher of English who has taught in prestigious school in Sydney, London and recently, the Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur.
The other academic staff comprise senior teacher Emma Talbot, Stuart Anderson, Sue back, Prestina White Foster, Anne L.O’Doherty and heather James.
