NEXUS International School will be organizing its open week from March 28 till April 2. Visitors are invited to experience how Nexus International School develops students to become independent learners, critical thinkers and high achievers.
Doors are open from 9am till 3pm daily during open week, including Saturday.
This is great opportunity to meet with the school’s highly qualified expatriate teachers to find out about the primary and secondary curriculums as well as visit the preview rooms at the new Nexus Boarding House.
A pioneer discount of RM6,000 per annum is offered to the first 30 full boarding applications (terms and conditions apply).

At Nexus International School, ICT is fully integrated into the curriculum to facilitate learning. Each classroom is fitted with an interactive Smartboard and learners enhance their daily learning in the classroom with the use of Mac laptops and Internet.
The school is also set against the backdrop of a new campus with beautiful, spacious grounds, which provide an excellent opportunity to learn beyond the four walls of the classroom.
According to Principal, Dr Stuart Martin, the school has an emphasizes on personalizing learning which is to find, develop and extend on gifts unique to each child.
“We welcome parents to visit us during open week and have a look at how the school plays its role in bringing an international-level of education to our learners. Aside from the guidance by our highly qualified teachers, learners gain an enriching learning experience from the multicultural community within and around the school,” said Dr Martin.
In August, the Nexus Boarding House will open its doors to secondary school learners (Year seven onwards).
“It will provide a fun, inspiring, affirming and intellectually stimulating experience to the boarders. The welfare of the boarders has been uppermost in the minds of those connected with the building.
“There are five floors for accommodation and each floor lends itself to vertical integration of boarders where the ages may range from 12 to 18. This helps to maintain a family type community on each floor where the older boarders help the younger ones.
“Unlike other boarding facilities, the Nexus boarding house will have a relatively low boarder to staff ratio. There will be five house parents for 140 boarders; including the Director of Boarding who will oversee the entire facility while a matron shares responsibility for learners’ welfare,” said Nexus Boarding House director of boarding Trevor Schubert.
The primary school is based on the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) at Nexus International School, while the secondary school is based on the UK National Curriculum enriched with best practice from other countries.
Learners in Year Seven to Nine (secondary) are provided with a solid foundation for the challenges of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) courses in Years 10 and 11 while being prepared for the Year 12 and 13 programmes. Year 11 will be available beginning for September, year 12 in 2012 and year 13 in 2013. For details, call 03-8889 3868, e-mail enquiry@nexus.edu.my or make an appointment during open week.
