STUDENTS who possess hands-on abilities have the opportunity to gain engineering skill qualifications which can provide apprenticeship opportunities within Malaysia and Australia.

An international apprentice can earn a minimum of A$1,500 per month while working and studying in Australia. It is the first time in history whereby students can learn and earn concurrently in Australia.

Established since 1976, MIT Academy is a leading technical and engineering institution which provides Robotics & Mechatronics, and Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering courses and employment opportunities via Apprenticeship Programmes in Malaysia and Australia. It has a proven track record of 100% On-Job Training placement with employers.

MIT Academy education and training encompasses 70% hands-on training and 30% theory. Besides classroom training, students will be sent to the industry for on-job-training to gain real-life practical experience. Such invaluable experience will fast-track the learning curve and provides an edge in their employment prospects.

Reputable manufacturing companies, namely Hartalega, Tateyama Auto Machine, Notion Venture and GP Autobat, have recruited their apprentices to be part of their workforce.

MIT Academy works closely with Chisholm Institute, Australia, which one of the large Australian government-funded provides of vocational education in Melbourne in the state of Victoria.

Located in the southeast of Melbourne, one of the Australia’s growth regions and the multicultural and industrial heart of the Melbourne, Chisholm welcomes up to 40,000 students every year to learn and develop skills to a better future.

On the engineering campus, students will enjoy a range of exciting facilities when studying at Chisholm. Chisholm is committed to reinvesting in facilities for all students such as the A$13mil integrated Engineering and Science Centre.

For students who wish to study locally yet gain international qualifications, MIT Academy also offers the City of Guards (UK) London Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications.

Pursuing engineering is affordable. There are various financial schemes available for students, namely the Skills Development Fund Corporation (Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran or PTPK) or the Kojadi loan. Students can study first and pay back later.
