EduTrust Certification
MDIS has been awarded the EduTrust certification by Singapore’s Council for Private Education (CPE). This certification is a significant milestone for MDIS and attests to the institute’s exemplary education standards and business excellence.
EduTrust certified Private Educational Institutions (PEIs) must have robust academic systems and processes, and attained quality standards in the delivery of education.
The award affirms the commitment of MDIS to deliver high quality standards of education to its students.
MDIS is among the first group of PEI’s to be registered under the Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) by the Council of Private Education in May, 2010.
The EduTrust certification will effectively replace the institute’s existing CaseTrust and Singapore Quality Class (SQC) accreditions.

Total Learning Experience
MDIS is one of the few institutes in Singapore with its own campus.
The RM83.2mil (S$35mil) campus occupies three hectares of land which supports student learning and personal development needs.
The campus is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including classrooms, lifesciences and computer laboratories, a hospitality training centre, a mass communications studio, engineering laboratory and workshop, sport facilities such as a gymnasium and badminton courts.
The campus also has an amphitheatre to house art performances and other events.
Integrated Campus
The MDIS Residences@Stirling is the first hostel in Singapore to be awarded the Green Mark Award. Costing RM171.2mil (S$72mil) the new 15-storey hostel consists of 782 air-conditioned rooms, 14 suites, lecture theatre and cafeteria.
The hostel can accommodate some 1700 students. The building has eco-friendly features and integrated facilities so that students can live, learn and play in an interactive environment.
Student Care
MDIS adopts a student-focused approach in looking after the well-being of students.
All staff members from the various departments and sections have the responsibility and commitment towards providing excellence student services to all.
In addition, MDIS has a Career Assistance Unit to train, equip and assist students with the necessary knowledge and skills to increase their chances of securing jobs upon graduation.
Unique English Language Programme
The English International Students (EIS) course is a bridging programme designed to develop the English ability of international students who want to pursue a tertiary education conducted in the English medium.
The EIS courses consist of five levels: Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced.
Subjects include:
- General English
- Communication Skills Academic Reading, Study Skills and Writing
- Academic Listening, Note-taking and discussion
Each level is designed to match students to the appropriate level of their English ability; and to help them attain the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 or IELTS 6.5 required by university partners of MDIS.
